Initially, I'm from a farming background and worked for the family business until I had a family of my own. During this time, I became a driving instructor, owned several retail businesses, qualified for several business diplomas, and studied A Level Law while keeping my interest in the arts. After my children left home, I moved to Wales to carry on my much-loved hobby of art, giving me family root connections and enabling me to grow my passion for art and apply to go back into education to do my degree. Meanwhile, setting up to teach art therapy to the elderly, disabled and also, on occasion, children of all ages and abilities. My passion for art and helping others has led me to continue in further studies, such as a PGCE and perhaps considerations towards a Master's in Art History or Health and art therapy. My connections to ALN, disabilities and supporting individuals with Mental health and well-being is something I will continue to support either as a career or voluntary position. I have enjoyed learning the requirements for the Welsh government's digital innovation 2030 and revised ALN policies, alongside the new curriculum for Wales and intend to continue to revise updates to enable students to be all they can be for a ready future.
