My name is Amber, and I was born in Wiltshire, Southwest of England, home to one of the most famous landmarks, Stonehenge. I am a graduate of London College of Fashion which is voted the best fashion school in the world, notorious in the fashion world and a test, portfolio, and interview process. Alongside the Open University where collectively I studied Fashion Business, Children’s Literature, and Cognitive Psychology, attaining an honours degree in Science. I furthered my studies with a Postgraduate Diploma in TESOL and Applied Linguistics from Anglia Ruskin, Cambridge, which was recently voted in the top hardest universities in the UK to get into. I am a trained TEFL teacher and obtained my TEFL from TEFL England. At the start of my teaching career, I taught English at a summer camp in Bergamo, Italy. I have also taught both English, Geography, Maths, Science, and Spanish depending on the student’s needs.
I enjoy all types of teaching and have taught all ages and in all types of environments. I am always concerned about my students' academic and emotional well-being and have tried to remain in touch with them all. I like to help students on a one to one basis and set up a timetable for that purpose. I am extremely dedicated to assisting my students to reach their full potential and am especially good at coaching them for public or private exams and entrance interviews, alongside progressing efficiently.
I have helped students get into Universities in Australia, receive internationally recognized certificates to showcase their level of English and overall improve their level of English. I am just as devoted to younger students and like to ensure that I am addressing both their strengths and their weaknesses. It is a great pleasure for me to see their progress. I was brought up with a strong emphasis on manners and morals. I aim to be kind to everyone and to act fairly and with respect. I am patient with my pupils but do not let them get away with not studying! I am extremely polite and adaptable and have been brought up to put others first and treat others as I would like to be treated.
I like the theatre, the cinema, reading and learning about new cultures. I love languages and try to grasp the basics of any countries language where I live, with a basic knowledge of Spanish, Arabic, Chinese, Italian, French, and Russian. I am quite sporty and love kickboxing, pilates, tennis, yoga and running. I like going to museums and art galleries and showing my students how exciting these places can be. I hope this gives a little picture of who I am.
Warmest wishes and kindest regards, Amber
