I hold a Bachelors Honours Degree in Primary Teaching (English Route) I was an English as a second language tutor to a single student. She suffers from ADHD and Dyslexia and most activities involved me ensuring she was being engaged in activities. I played educational games with her and we completed worksheets together based on her current abilities, I made my way through the English curriculum starting in year one to teach her about the basic rules of English, for her to pass her secondary school exam. She passed with an amazing score of 7,3/10 after never hitting higher than 3,4. During my time as a class teacher I portrayed a range of skills such as creating a welcoming, warm and stimulating environment for both children and parents. Used a variety of teaching approaches, including group work, whole class, talk partners demonstrations and modelling to encourage interactions in the classroom. Alongside building positive relationship with my students, I also supported the visions, values, policies and ethos of the workplace when fostering a high level of learning in the classroom. I planned and led lessons within the national curriculum. I worked closely with other staff and participated in training 'in' and 'out' of the workplace. When it comes to the pupils progress I ensured I took responcibility for their learning and outcomes as well as adapting teaching in order to include those of all abilities.

I've lived in the Netherlands for most of my life and came to England to become a teacher. I love making lessons fun and interesting as I believe you can't learn unless you are having fun! In my free time I like to game and read books and I am also a huge fan of Pokèmon (I bet I know more than you!)
