As an experienced ESL teacher who majored in English translation and holds the CELTA, I am passionate about helping non-native English speakers achieve their language goals and succeed in their academic and professional endeavors. I am an organized English Instructor with 21 years of experience in teaching learners ranging from kids to adults (beginner to advance), material development, and recruiting & coaching teachers. I have developed effective teaching strategies that cater to different learning styles & needs. My approach to teaching is student-centered and I strive to create a supportive & engaging classroom environment. I implement dynamic and engaging lesson plans substituting textbooks with personally chosen audio-visual materials to meet students’ interests and needs. I also apply task-based language learning activities in classroom. I am eager to assist the principals in determining grade placement for learners as well. Being a director of studies has given me valuable experience in working with students, teachers, and other staff members. I am looking forward to contributing my knowledge, skills and 21 years of teaching experience in a school that offers a genuine opportunity for career progression.
