My Qualifications
I attended school (High School in the U.S.!) in the West of the U.K. and boarded there for 11 years! I was heavily involved in music, drama, sport and outdoor activities as well as my academic studies. I then moved to London where I studied Latin and Greek (amongst other subjects) at University College, London, before moving to Cambridge to study teaching. I have worked in British schools for 20 years teaching students from the ages of 7 - 18, with the majority of my time spent on pupils from 10 - 13. At the upper end I have taught GCSE, A'Level and I.B. In 2017, I started working as an international tutor, working in Sweden, Switzerland, Mozambique and Italy. I then worked for a family in Hong Kong for 3 years. I can also teach Maths, English, History and Geography to KS 1 - 3.
About me
Hi! I am a teacher who loves a wide range of interests and who really enjoys meeting new students and helping them with their studies. I make lessons as fun as possible, but always expect high standards from my students! I have great attention to detail and do things to the best of my ability. I am patient, I try to explain things as clearly as possible and am always happy to be asked questions. I have a positive attitude and try to help my students see the positive side of things too!
