Hi there! I’m Iban, a qualified and experienced teacher living in Pamplona, Spain. I’m half Spanish, half American.
I’ve been teaching English since 2014. I’ve taught adults, teens and children, and I’ve taught general English, business English and exam preparation lessons. I've taught all levels, but mostly B1, B2 and C1. When the pandemic arrived, I switched to online teaching, and since then, I’ve been combining in-class with online teaching.
I love teaching, it brings me so much satisfaction to see my students make progress, and I find I learn a lot from them too! My lessons are focused on students’ needs. I like to help students in whatever English skill they want to improve (Reading, Listening, Speaking or Writing). I always ask students if they’d like me to correct their mistakes the instant they make them, or if they’d rather I wait until they finish the sentence or idea, so as not to interrupt them. My aim is for students to feel free to express themselves in English without worrying about making mistakes, and for them to ask me as many questions as they want. I love to engage into conversations with my students. I think conversation is the best way for them to become more fluent.
