Masters of computer science Teaching Assistant level 3

I have successfully completed a NVQ Level 3 for Teaching Assistants course with SCCD Training Institute ni 2019 as I had a keeninterest in working with children. Soon after this training course, I began 6-week voluntary work at Blackfin Secondary School in Sidcup, during my experience at this school; I worked with children in years 7-9. My role was to work closely with children who had Down syndrome, supporting them 1-1 with all subjects, including Maths, English, ICT and Arts and Crafts. I would break equations and sentences down to more simple forms, if they were struggling to understand what the teacher was teaching. It was important that w a s patient and used the correct vocabulary with the children, especially when children would get frustrated if they did not understand something. After this voluntary work, I became pregnant and now have 2young children (aged 18 months and 3 years old). I have dedicated my time to raising and spending time with them. I have always loved being aroundchildren as I have a lot of children within the family both in India and here in the UK. I take a keen interest in always educating myself on how to best take care of my children during their early years ofdevelopment. I now I don't have qualified Teacher status but I Have done master's in computer science So I can work as unqualified teacher .My recent employment was with Gravel Hil Primary School, teaching year 3 and 4 pupils. My role during this employment was to work closely with Autistic children, I was responsible for working with a group of up to 7 children, whereby I would teach them basic mathematics, English and other subjects taught by the teachers. For example, Iwould break down maths equations for them in simpleterms such as fractions, multiplication examples etc. To do this, I made sure that I was clear in communicating with them and also being able torelate to them as I had children of my own which I would have to communicate openly and form full sentences to enhance their understanding of certain subjects. Other experience I have gained in past is through taking my own initiative to tutor young children in India. These included children that were less fortunate than others and were not able toget aneducation. I hugely empathized with those children and ever since Ihave lived in the U.K, have made sure to go down the teaching route as I have always thoroughly enjoyed it. I believe it is one of the most rewarding professions due to the nature ofworking with children with additional/special educational needs and knowing Ihave helped and supported them to understandthings they may have found difficult to grasp first timeround. Lastly and in addition to the above training course, I have completed both a Bachelors and Masters degree in Computer Science and Engineering therefore have excellent numeracy and literacy skills. school has an excellent reputation for the quality of its teaching and the excellent behaviour of its pupils. I would love to become part of such a committed team and add my own skills and experience to further strengthen the high-quality experience that this school offers its students.
