Bachelor of Education, Professional Certificate in Leadership and Management in E, TESOL/TEFL 120-HOUR Certificate ducation

I am an education professional with over ten years of experience in teaching and educational leadership. I bagged a Bachelor’s degree in Business Education from the National Open University of Nigeria and a Professional Certificate in Educational Leadership and Management from the University of Newcastle in Australia(online). Over the past one year, I have had over 100 hours of continuous professional development on different platforms. I had previously been promoted from being a Class Teacher to being the Head of Secondary as a result of my personal development, commitment and hard work. Within one academic session, the number of students quadrupled. I am currently a Class Teacher and Year Group Lead in a leading British International School in Lagos Nigeria where I am applying strategic and collaborative leadership skills in helping my colleagues go above and beyond each term. For many years, I have volunteered to engage children in undeserved communities in learning without financial rewards. More than 60% of these children are now in colleges and universities making good progress. I am actively a One African Child Foundation volunteer working with the Curriculum Development and Project Management teams. Through my experiences in teaching and volunteering, I have developed strong social and leadership skills. I am passionate about helping children in undeserved communities become more academically and socially relevant. I want to achieve this by collaborating with community leaders and stakeholders in education to use available and necessary resources to reduce the number of unschooled and illiterate children in undeserved communities by at least 10% annually. I also help all kinds of learners develop a skill set that makes them marketable. I do this by honing their literacy, communication, creativity, collaboration, analytical and problem solving skills as well as facilitating them to gain mastery of content knowledge. My personality, skills and wealth of experience will be a valuable addition to any institution that employs me as I am open to learning and personal/professional development opportunities.
