My Qualifications

I trained as a teacher through the Teach First scheme so from my very first day I’ve been hands on with the job. After successfully completing my training year in 2021, I gained my Qualified Teacher Status. Since then, I’ve been in the profession whilst continuing my study of the PGDE. During university, I studied modules from both literature and language.

Hi, my name is Maryam. I’m a 23 year old teacher of English in a secondary school in Durham, UK. As a teacher, I have experience teaching students from 11 years old in KS3 up to 16 year olds in KS4 who are completing their GCSE in English.
