▪ I am a TEFL/TESOL certified English tutor, as previously I have successfully completed and passed a 120-hour Premier TEFL course.

Hello! My name is Matthew. I am a 35 year old TEFL/TESOL certified English tutor from Essex, England. English is my first language and I was born and raised in England. I have over 900 hours of freelance online English tutoring experience, and I have had a lot of experience teaching Business English to students, as well as helping students to practice IELTS parts 1-3 & IELTS mock tests, in preparation for their IELTS exams. I have tutored over 2000 different students from various different countries around the world including Japan, Saudi Arabia, Turkey, China, Italy and France.

My teaching methodology and style is a creative one that is structured around the specific learning needs of a student. I place a primary focus on intonation and repeated sound as a method of improving pronunciation. I am also a strong believer in conversational learning as being an effective way of learning a language as complex as English. I am a good listener and am able to be attentive to the specific learning needs of individual students, which is beneficial given that we all learn information differently.
