I am a very confident, hardworking and reliable person who enjoys fresh challenges and can easily adjust to different working conditions. I am a value driven bilingual professional who is passionate about community development and social mobility. Possessing a broad skillset with exceptional interpersonal skills, together with my own lived experiences enable me to work with individuals from all backgrounds with professionalism, empathy and respect. I am very eager to learn new skills and I have a sensible approach to all problems and challenges. I am keen to take on new challenges in order to gain experience and develop new skills. I have respect for others and feel I am very trust worthy. Having successfully graduated in Education studies (BA Hons) and completing my PGCE. Due to this degree it had opened my views and expand on educational practice. Studying Education Studies degree has built on my knowledge on the education system whilst building on theory and practice. During my degree I carried out a volunteering exercise helping in a local charity organisation. Literacy pirates are located in the London borough of Hackney, who assist to help children on reading and writing, mainly those children that are falling behind in their schoolwork and disadvantaged backgrounds. This experience, in line with my Education studies degree certainly assisted me to enhance my knowledge. These skills and qualities will be vital for myself who wishes to pursue a career in teaching. In order to build on my previous experience, I have also worked in classrooms across a few schools as a teaching assistant. It has been an important experience into how teaching has evolved in many positive ways, this experience combined with the experience I have with volunteering has helped provide me with a new insight into the many different challenges and principles of teaching. It has allowed me to have an understanding that children work at different abilities. Therefore, I have been able to differentiate work to meet the needs of all individuals, so they produce positive outcomes. Also, through assessments and the data collected from these helped to ensure that any gaps in knowledge can be planned for in future sessions. In addition, having the ability to teach complex things in an easy and digestible manner so that learners can immerse themselves into learning. I would like to think of myself as a model to children on what they need to do so they can see you working at a practicable level. This way, they have gone through several examples with you before working independently. It has helped me create purposeful resources which are in line with learning outcomes but also fun and engaging for the children to work with.
