Hi guys, I’m Liv, I’m from England. After completing my TEFL course I discovered a passion for teaching English, and since I've always enjoyed travelling and meeting people from different cultures, Tutoring online allows me to enjoy working, and hobbies, all at once.
I enjoy teaching both adults and children. Children require a fun, energetic, and reliable teacher - all of which I can provide - as well as fun activities. I enjoy engaging in these activities, and introducing incentives, such as word games - to encourage the children to try their best in our lessons.
With adults I enjoy a more laid back approach to lessons, and like to incorporate casual conversation elements into our lesson as I feel this can increase both fluency and vocabulary. A really good way to do this is to focus on different news articles every week, read them aloud, dissect the meanings and pronunciations of difficult words, and then discuss our opinions on the articles. But this is just one type of many different lesson styles I offer!
What really matters is what the student wishes to acquire from the lessons. In the first lesson we will go through goals and objectives that you have in mind, and your motivation behind learning English, and with this knowledge I can adapt the lessons to incorporate the tools you need to reach these goals and unleash your potential. I am also offering piano lessons on this platform. These will be in English, so could be a good opportunity to improve your musical skills and language skills at the same time! I have completed all of the grades in piano (in the UK 1-8), but prefer teaching grades 4 and below, purely because when piano becomes more advanced I don't think online lessons offer enough guidance. If this is something you would like to explore, it can be a really fun way to learn some musical terminology, and some musical skills at the same time! I hope to share my passion for languages, and learning with you, and become a friendly face that you can rely on.
