My Qualifications
I am currently a Biochemistry undergraduate studying for a Master’s in the subject. For A-Levels, I took Chemistry, Physics and Maths; I received A*’s in all of these. During my studies, for just over a year and a half I tutored GCSE Chemistry students. I also received private tuition myself. Having first hand experience of the teaching styles of amazing tutors as well as having tutored myself in the past, I believe I have the tools to successfully tutor and guide A-Level students to excel in Chemistry and Maths. At secondary school, I took triple science for my GCSE’s, Math, English, Geography , Computer Science, Spanish and Music. I received all grades 7-9 in my GCSE’s. 7’s in Music and English Literature, 9’s in Spanish and English Language, 8’s in the rest.
About me
I start lessons by introducing a topic and letting the student talk about what they understand about said topic so that I can gage their understanding. If needed, I will then talk to them about the topic before doing some worked examples with them and then giving them a chance to do questions by themselves! As exams approach, we will work through past papers together to ensure the student is fully prepared for their final exams and correct any misconceptions they may have on any topics. A typical lesson will last 1 hour, but can go up to 2 depending on your needs!
